Richmond Barracks is a building of historical importance located in Inchicore. It is home to a library, garden, and Culture Connects, a programme of cultural activities that celebrate the experiences and interests of the local communities and people.
 
Getting There 
 

Richmond Barracks is located off Bulfin Road, corner of Emmet Road (R810), behind St. Michael’s Church in Inchicore. It faces St. Michael’s Estate green space.

It is easy to find by public transport, by bike, walking or by car. Please note that there is no parking provided specifically for this event and free on street parking is limited to less than 20 spaces plus 2 accessible parking spaces. We encourage all able to do so to use public transport.

By Bus:

You can reach Richmond Barracks by taking any of these buses: G1, G2, 13.

Get off at St. Michael’s Church, Emmet Road, Inchicore. The stop number is 1946. Walk down the laneway at the side of the church and Richmond Barracks will be visible. Check the Dublin Bus website or app for timetables.

Bus stops for routes 122, 123 and 68 are within walking distance.

You can reach Richmond Barracks by taking the Luas red line. Get off at the Goldenbridge stop and cross over to the other side of the canal. With the canal on your left-hand side, walk straight down Millview Cottages and onto St Helen’s Terrace. On your right-hand side, you’ll come to a kissing gate. Walk through this gate and head straight towards the green. Richmond Barracks will come into view on your right. The whole walk shouldn’t take more than 10 minutes at a leisurely pace.

By Dublin Bikes:

There is a bike stand on Emmet Road at the crossroads with Kilmainham.  Richmond Barracks is a five-minute walk from here. Continue south from the stand and St Michael’s Church will come into view on the left. Turn left onto the laneway immediately after the church and the Barracks will come into view. 

By train:

Richmond Barracks is a 25-minute walk from Heuston Station, which is served by the Red Luas line.

You can also take the red Luas line from Connolly Station.

By car

Richmond Barracks is a 10-minute drive from the city centre. Drive to Emmet Road (R810), and continue south towards Inchicore Village. Turn left off Emmet Road onto Bulfin Rd at the side of St. Michael’s Church. Turn immediately right, and follow the road around to Richmond Barracks which will be on your left.

Parking:

Please note that there is no parking provided specifically for this event and free on street parking is limited to less than 20 spaces plus 2 accessible parking spaces. We encourage all able to do so to use public transport. 

Park Rite Kilmainham is approximately a 30-minute walk away – see the route on Google Maps here – and is open Monday to Sunday 8 am – 7 pm. Luas Park and Ride facilities are four stops away.

On foot:

If walking, Richmond Barracks is approximately 40 minutes from Dublin city centre.

By Air

If you can find a place to land your jet nearby we will be impressed.

By Car
