I-Form Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre

Advanced manufacturing is changing how things are made through digital technologies such as 3D printing & AI. Through the I-Form area, attendees will see a preview of the next industrial revolution in action, and meet the engineers who are making it happen! Our stand will showcase different elements of our research in advanced manufacturing. There will be a focus on 3D printing demo's – we will have two 3D printers in operation, plus various 3D printed materials available to see and touch. We will also have some 3D-printed giveaways for the kids (keyrings). We will also have a small experiment setup, where people can see the special 'shape memory' properties of a metal called Nitinol. We will have several of our engineers/researchers on the stand, who will be on hand to explain advanced manufacturing and 3D printing, and talk to the public about their research.
