This is Aoife’s first time at Dublin Maker event and she is very excited to be demonstrating some hat making skills. Aoife loves teaching Millinery classes and teaches a range of classes in her studio nearby on Fitzwilliam Street Upper. “People have a fear of hats” she said, “I want to show people that hats are fun & that there is something for everyone”.
Coming from a business background Aoife turned a hobby into a business after being made redundant in 2012. She studied Millinery in London in KCC College and has done intensive courses with prestigious British Milliners including Noel Stewart, Dillion Wallwork & Bridget Bailey. “I am constantly being inspired & am so lucky to be able to do what I love everyday”
Aoife’s main market is Mother of the Bride/Groom and people going to the races but Aoife also specializes in Bridal Headpieces & accessories. “I get a lot of bespoke bridal orders for Bird-Cage veils; cuffs & even belts. I love being able to be a part of a brides special day”. Check out more at http://aoifeharrisondesign.ie/
