WHAT IS DUBLIN MAKER?

It’s a free to attend, community run event, which will be held in Richmond Barracks, on Saturday 31st of August & 1st of September 2024 from 10 am – 6 pm. Dublin Maker takes the form of a “show and tell” experience where inventors/makers sourced through an open call, will have an opportunity to showcase their creations at individual booths in a carnival atmosphere. It will be a family friendly showcase of invention, creativity and resourcefulness, and a celebration of the maker movement. It’s a place where people show what they are making, and share what they are learning.

Makers range from tech enthusiasts to crafters, educators, tinkerers, hobbyists, engineers, artists, science clubs, students, authors, and commercial exhibitors. They are of all ages and backgrounds, coming from all over Ireland and beyond. Dublin Maker’s mission is to entertain, inform and connect the makers of Ireland, while inspiring the next generation of Ireland’s makers and inventors.

AUDIENCE PROFILE

Last year we had over 10,000 smiling attendees, 50 maker booths, plus a forge, rocket launch pad and giant motorised duck! It was a huge success. Our much loved Fabrication Tent returned with everything from 3D printing and scanning to laser cutting and vinyl cutters. Our performance area “The Most Interesting Tent” was aptly named with extraordinary talks, demos and performances from our brilliant makers.

We want Dublin Maker to include people of all races, all genders, all level of experience, all religious beliefs and all sexual orientations. We believe Dublin Maker should reflect the society it takes place in. By keeping Dublin Maker free to attend (and exhibit) it allows us to make it an event open to all.

WHEN CAN I APPLY?

In order to give all our potential sponsors an equal chance to apply for their desired package, please note the following:

Sponsorship will be awarded on a first come, first served basis.
If you package is not available, we will reply via email outlining the next available option.

Terms and Conditions

Sponsorship application is handled on a “ﬁrst-come, ﬁrst-served” basis
Sponsors should be committed to Dublin Maker’s goals of education, creativity and the promotion of the maker community in Ireland.
The Committee of Dublin Maker retains the right to reject any sponsor that it deems to be inappropriate.
After acceptance by the Committee, the sponsor should provide the sponsorship funds, logo image in an appropriate format, and other details required within three weeks of receipt of the acceptance, and in any case one week before the start of the Conference.
Sponsorship pledges cannot be processed without payment. All pledges must be made in Euros or US Dollars (preferably electronic transfer). Bank details for electronic transfer will be sent on request.
Sponsors may not sublet, assign or apportion any part of the item(s) sponsored nor represent advertise or distribute literature or materials for the products or services of any other ﬁrm or organisation except as approved in writing by the Dublin Maker Committee
Dublin Maker will not be liable for damage or loss to sponsors’ properties by ﬁre theft accident or any other cause whether the result of negligence or otherwise or case of force majeure.
Sponsorship is not limited to ﬁnancial support, but can also be in the form of material provisions as for example hardware, software, etc. Should your organisation be interested in sponsoring an arrangement not listed in the , please feel free to contact us to discuss your preferences.
For sponsorship packages that include the use of signage, please note that signage space may be limited. The event organisers will inform each sponsor about the maximum size and number of signs that they can use. Banner must be self-supporting.
Refund Policy – Please contact sponsorship@dublinmaker.ie regarding refunds. The following is our refund policy:-
- Full Refund up to 60 days before the event.
- No Refunds within 60 days before the event.
